The Jules Mausoleum: this funeral monument dates back to 30-20 BC. It was erected by the Julii, descendants of one of the major Roman families, in honour of their father and grandfather. It is particularly well preserved and owes its fame to its distinctive structure, which is unique to Roman architecture as we know it today. A a rectangular base with four magnificently sculpted fasciae is surmounted by a double-entry triumphal arch, on top of which is a small round temple with columns and a pyramidal roof; this temple houses the effigies of the two people to whom this exceptional monument is dedicated.

Walk in the Universe of Vincent van Gogh
The pedestrian circuit is illustrated with 21 panels, supports for reproductions of paintings, chosen from among the 150 painted by the artist during his stay in Saint Rémy de Provence. This pedestrian walk can be done quietly on foot through the very beautiful landscapes which inspired this great impressionist artist. You will enter the real or imaginative universe of Vincent van Gogh, discovering with emotion landscapes shaped with humility by the hand of ten generations of peasants since Roman times. This circuit starts near the site of Saint Paul de Mausole where Vincent van Gogh lived from May 1889 to June 1890, then heads towards the old center of Saint Rémy de Provence through the “quarter of the four cantons”, to end in front of the entrance to the beautiful Center d'Art Présence Van Gogh, located in the Hôtel Estrine (17th century) in the old center of Saint Rémy de Provence.

Overlooking the famous village of Les Baux-de-Provence, the Castle of Les Baux is sitting on a rocky outcrop. This location perched atop the plateau of Les Baux and naturally fortified enabled the occupants to be protected and to observe the surrounding countryside, which explains why the site was inhabited early on and almost continuously up to the contemporary era.

La Cité des Papes
Avignon, a city in southeastern France’s Provence region, is set on the Rhône River. From 1309 to 1377, it was the seat of the Catholic popes. It remained under papal rule until becoming part of France in 1791. This legacy can be seen in the massive Palais des Papes (Popes' Palace) in the city center, which is surrounded by medieval stone ramparts.

Le Pont d'Avignon
Pont d’Avignon, it was built in the 1100’s and once connected the two banks of the Rhône. Scene of legends, emblematic monument symbol of this area, today the Pont d’Avignon has only 4 of its original 22 arches.

Eygalières
Eygalières is probably the most beautiful village in the Alpilles, situated on the northern edge of the mountain chain just 10 kilometres from Saint-Rémy-de-Provence.
Arriving in Eygalières, the eye is immediately drawn towards the top of its rocky outcrop. Up there you can see a statue of the Virgin Mary and a tower topped by a bell in a campanile.

You can leave your vehicle at the bottom of the village, next to the new Saint-Laurent Church, built in 1905 in Romanesque Revival style. From there, a street leads past beautiful houses with carved doors – here, there are no pastel tones, everything is of limestone rock, in the image itself of the Alpilles. After a bit of easy walking, you're at the top.

Le théâtre antique
In the heart of the Rhone Valley, the Roman Theatre of Orange is certainly one of the most beautiful legacies of imperial Rome. An outstanding testimony to Antiquity inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, it is the best preserved theatre in Europe.
It owes its fame especially to its magnificent stage wall, which is surprisingly well preserved and unique in the Western world. It was a major performance venue in Roman times and still is today, much to the delight of music lovers from all over the world.

Les Arênes
The Arles Amphitheatre is a Roman amphitheatre in the southern French town of Arles. Two-tiered, it is probably the most prominent tourist attraction in the city which thrived in Ancient Rome. The towers jutting out from the top are medieval add-ons.

THÉÂTRE ANTIQUE
Receiving its illustrious neighbor the amphitheater by a century, the Roman theater of Arles is much less well preserved today.
Built at the end of the 1st century BC, it dates from the first phase of urbanization of the Roman colony founded by Caesar in -46.
Built on the hill of Hauture, it is part of the Roman grid, on the decumanus (east-west road).
Fortified in the Middle Ages and overtaken by parasitic constructions - its own materials having often been reused in neighboring buildings - we lose even the knowledge of the initial function of the monument.

Le musée Arles Antique
The town of Arles is home to an exceptional density of monuments and remains dating from the Gallo-Roman period. The arenas, the theater, the cryptoporticus or the ruins of the thermal baths bear witness to this ancient prosperity. Successive excavation campaigns have uncovered exceptional archeological remains, which you are invited to discover in the Musée départemental Arles antique (departmental museum of Ancient Arles).

Le Pont du Gard
The Pont du Gard is an ancient Roman aqueduct bridge built in the first century AD to carry water over 50 km to the Roman colony of Nemausus. It crosses the river Gardon near the town of Vers-Pont-du-Gard in southern France.

Golf International de pont Royal
Designed by golf legend, Severiano Ballesteros, the Golf International de Pont Royal was awarded France’s Best Golf Course 2021 and 2022 by the World Golf Awards.
Located close to Luberon, between Aix-en-Provence and Avignon, Pont Royal is a sporting gateway to Provence open to tourists. Maintened in perfect conditions, the golf course offers a real challenge to players of all levels thanks to its vast and numerous tee boxes and the variety of shots required.

The Arènes de Nîmes
The Arena of Nîmes is a Roman amphitheatre, situated in the French city of Nîmes. Built around 100 CE, shortly after the Colosseum of Rome, it is one of the best-preserved Roman amphitheatres in the world.It is 133 meters long and 101 meters wide, with an arena measuring 68 meters by 38 meters.

La Tour Carrée
Inspired by the temples of Apollo and Mars Ultor in Rome, it pleases the eye with its harmonious proportions. The only fully-preserved temple of the ancient world, it is 26 metres long, 15 metres large and 17 metres high. The ceiling of the pronaos dates from the nineteenth century and the present door was made in 1824.
The exceptional state of conservation of the Maison Carrée results from continuous use since the eleventh century. It was in turn consular headquarters, stables, private house and church; it was the seat of the first Prefecture of the Gard after the Revolution and then departmental archives. In 1823 it became the first museum in Nîmes.
The square was redesigned in 1993 by Lord Norman Foster, the architect who designed Carré d'Art, to establish spatial unity of the two buildings.
The restoration of the Maison Carré started in 2006 and was completed in 2010.
After the renovation of the roof in 1992 with hand-moulded tiles following the Roman model, it was necessary to renovate the walls and floor of the building exposed to frost and pollution.

Situated on the junction of the Canal du Rhône à Sète and the Chenal Maritime to Le Grau-du-Roi, the town is a transit center for canal craft and Dutch barges.
